Edenham Rugby Success!

On Thursday 17th May, Olatunji Joseph was accompanied by Mr Hirrel and Mr Ridley to the Surrey Schools Rugby Presentation, which took place at Twickenham Stadium. The evening was a very prestigious event which involved schools such as Whitgift, Trinity and Dulwich College, celebrating all ages and abilities across the Surrey County. The night included students receiving full international honours, subsequently for Olatunji to receive the U16 plate in its inaugural season is a huge achievement for all involved with the Edenham U16 Rugby team this year.

Edenham Students visit the Olympic Site

This week 8 of our students attended the London Prepares Paralympic Challenge at the Olympic Stadium. Our students were one of the first to visit the new Olympic venue and were treated to a host of events seeing 3 world records broken in the process and meeting Olympic Gold medallist and record breaking Jonathon Edwards. This wasthe first of numerous trips to the Olympic site for our students as we get ready for the start of the games in July.

Calling ALL parents - Next EFCG Meeting 21st May @ 6pm

EFCG are delighted to report that we made a profit of just over £600 at the boot sale on 31st March. Despite the rather cold day we had a canteen and car park full of sellers and plenty of people walking out of the gate with their arms full (or even driving in to collect everything). Many thanks to the canteen staff who gave up their time as well as staff and parents who helped; running the second hand uniform stall - we raised £80, as well selling food and tickets. We will be purchasing calculators for the maths department and are looking into other equipment/consumables that teachers have requested. Please come to the next meeting and join us in helping improve the school.

Edenham OFSTED Report

We are very pleased to announce that we have received our latest OFSTED report and that the school was judged as being 'Good with Outstanding features'

The report opens by saying:

"This good school has secured considerable improvement in many areas and some
aspects of its work are now outstanding"

The report also says:

"Good quality teaching is instrumental in ensuring
most students make good progress.

 "Procedures for safeguarding students are
outstanding."
